Biography
María Sagrario Gómez Cantarino is a Full Professor at the University of Castilla-La Mancha, holds a PhD in Health Sciences, and is a Specialist Nurse in Obstetrics and Gynecology (Midwife). Her teaching and research career focuses on nursing, public health, health education, sexuality, the humanization of care, and the social transfer of knowledge.
Her work with children and adolescents focuses on maternal and child health, pediatric and neonatal pain, family-centered care, health education, and research ethics with children and adolescents. She is also the principal investigator on international projects aimed at improving the training of healthcare professionals and promoting more humanized care for children.
She is currently responsible for the Ethics Subcommittee on Research with Children and Adolescents of the RIyA-UCLM Network, where she promotes good practices, interdisciplinary reflection and support materials for rigorous, responsible research adapted to the developmental stage of children and adolescents.
